DealScope is built to be private by default. We do not operate a server, we do not have user accounts, and we never collect, transmit, sell, or share your data.

What DealScope stores

Your default underwriting assumptions, any deals you choose to save, and your Pro license status are stored only in your browser via Chrome's chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

What DealScope reads

When you click Analyze this listing (or the on-page Analyze pill) on a Zillow, Redfin or Realtor.com page, the extension reads publicly visible figures on that page (list price, rent estimate, taxes) to fill in the calculator. This happens locally in your browser and is not sent anywhere.

License verification

If you buy Pro, you enter the license key from your Gumroad receipt. The extension sends only that license key and the product ID to Gumroad's public verification API to confirm it's valid (and, for monthly plans, still active). No personal data is sent, and there is no DealScope server involved.

Optional AI feature

The AI Deal Summary is off by default. If you enable it, you provide your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key, stored locally in your browser. When you request a summary, the deal figures are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you selected, using your own key. DealScope has no server in between and never sees your key or your data.

Permissions

Data sharing

None. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party data sharing.
